Papakura to Pukekohe Rail Corridor

The Papakura to Pukekohe rail electrification project will enhance the capacity of Auckland's rail network by extending the electric train network approximately 20 kilometres south from Papakura to Pukekohe. 

Currently Auckland's electric rail network terminates at Papakura, where commuters transfer to diesel trains to reach Pukekohe.

Woods completed the Mobile Laser capture of 20km of railway corridor to provide detailed survey product for design purposes. The nature of the project required accurate Survey Control and this task was completed with a combination of GPS Static Observations and Terrestrial Laser Scanning of required sections of railway corridor.
